Your Samsung won't connect to WiFi, keeps dropping the connection, or shows connected but has no internet. WiFi failures on Samsung phones are extremely common and usually fixable — often without any hardware work at all. Call 0723763173 if you need hands-on help at our Nairobi workshop.
Why Is Your Samsung WiFi Not Working?
- Router issue — the problem may be the router, not the phone; test another device on the same network
- Saved network credentials outdated — the router password changed; forget the network and reconnect
- IP address conflict — two devices on the network have been assigned the same IP; toggle Airplane Mode to force a new IP assignment
- MAC address randomisation conflict — Samsung randomises MAC addresses by default, which some routers reject; disable under WiFi › network settings
- Outdated network settings — accumulated WiFi configuration data causes connection failures; a network reset clears this
- Damaged WiFi antenna — a drop or liquid damage can break the WiFi antenna flex cable inside the phone
- WiFi chip failure — rare, but the WiFi chipset on the motherboard can fail
Network Reset Steps
Go to Settings › General Management › Reset › Reset Network Settings. This clears all saved WiFi passwords, Bluetooth pairings, and mobile data settings — it's a significant reset but resolves the majority of persistent WiFi faults.
Hardware WiFi Repair
If WiFi fails after a drop, shows extremely weak signal, or fails alongside Bluetooth and GPS, suspect antenna or hardware damage. We inspect and replace antenna flex cables and advise on motherboard-level faults.
